🌿 Early Menopause, Brain Fog & The Silence Around Women’s Hormonal Health

My Story, What I Wish I Knew, and What Every Woman Over 35 Must Do

Ladies… this might be one of the most important things I have ever shared. And I am sharing it because I wish someone had told me sooner.

I’m 42 now. But my symptoms started around age 35–36 — long before I ever imagined the word “menopause” applied to me.

Back then, I started noticing things that felt “off”:• mental fog• brittle nails• dry skin• hair thinning• low energy• feeling good in the morning but completely empty by the afternoon

I kept blaming myself.I thought it was diet, stress, Prana imbalance, bad habits, not enough discipline — all the usual things we tell ourselves when our body isn’t cooperating.

So I improved everything:Better food.Better lifestyle.Less stress.More movement.More supplements.

Yet… my symptoms kept getting worse.

💛 When Anxiety Becomes a Daily Feeling

Earlier this year, the anxiety hit harder. My energy dropped even more.I felt tired all the time, and couldn’t understand why my body wasn’t responding to all my “healthy” habits.

I went to the GP.Blood tests? “Normal.”Iron low. B12 low.Okay, fine — supplements.

But still, my body felt wrong.

Something deeper was happening.

💛 The Test That Changed Everything

I finally insisted on a full hormonal panel and scans.

And that’s when I got the truth:

My ovaries had basically retired.I was in early menopause at 42.

My FSH levels were extremely low.My other hormones were low.And everything suddenly made sense:

• the bone aches• the joint pain• the anxiety• the brain fog• the emotional ups and downs• the afternoon crashes• the migraines

I had ALL the signs — but no one around me ever explained them. Not doctors. Not school. Not society.

We grow up thinking menopause is for “older women.”But early menopause is REAL.And so many women experience it in silence because they don’t know the symptoms.

💛 Why This Matters for YOU

Early menopause doesn’t just affect periods. It affects:

✔ bone density✔ mental clarity✔ mood✔ energy✔ hair & skin✔ heart health✔ metabolism

And yes — you can go through this even if:

• you don’t drink• you don’t smoke• you eat well• you’re active• you had children early• you don’t have “bad habits”

I never drank.Never smoked.Always vegetarian.Had children young (25 & 29).A healthy lifestyle.

And STILL entered menopause at 42.

This is why you must stop assuming it's your lifestyle or mindset.Sometimes, your hormones are calling for help.

💛 The Pain That No One Mentions

The last two days after starting my HRT patches, the migraines were INTENSE.But I know it’s my body adjusting —and I would still choose this over living in confusion and self-blame.

Because now I know what’s happening inside me.I’m not guessing.I’m not blaming myself.I’m not wondering if I’m “getting old too early.”

I have answers.

💛 IMPORTANT: Before You Start HRT

If you ever go on HRT, please get the NHS HRT Prepayment Certificate.

It’s around £20 and it saves you SO much money.

A single pack of patches is around £10.With the certificate?Almost NOTHING.

Please don’t skip this step — it will support you so much.

💛 My Message to Every Woman 35+

Please, I am urging you:

Get your hormone levels tested.Push for FSH, estrogen, progesterone, and thyroid.

Do NOT let anyone — not even a GP — tell you you’re “too young.”

No, you are NOT too young.

You have the right to understand your body. You have the right to demand answers. You have the right to feel like yourself again.

Because when you’re unwell internally:YOU suffer first…and your family suffers right after.

Your emotional health, physical strength, energy and clarity —they are everything.

Listen when your body speaks.Educate yourself.Take the reins back.Don’t let anyone dismiss your pain, your symptoms, or your intuition.

You deserve to live a full life, not just “push through” it.

You are not alone. You are not “moody.”You are not “weak.”You are not “overreacting.”

You are a woman whose hormones deserve to be understood — not ignored.

I love you.Take your power back.

Peace

Sandy Chana
