Beyond Pranayama
Most are familiar with the mechanical act of breathing, but few understand the Swara—the rhythmic flow of Prana that governs our physical state, mental clarity, and spiritual evolution. Based on the ancient wisdom of the Shiva Swarodaya and Patanjali Yoga Sutra, this practice is the study of the breath in relation to the lunar and solar tides. It is the science of knowing which nostril is dominant and how that dominance dictates your success, your health, and your peace of mind.
Why Modern Life Feels So Heavy
It’s easy to feel calm on a retreat or a mountain top.
But the real challenge is finding peace, clarity, and control in everyday life — during stress, conflict, deadlines, family pressures, and emotional overwhelm.
You may recognize these patterns:
- Chronic Physical Tension: Jaw tightness, neck pain, back discomfort, or fatigue that stretching and rest don’t resolve.
- Emotional Overload: Anxiety, mental fog, irritability, or a constant feeling of being “stuck.”
- The Escape Cycle: Always longing for the next break, holiday, or retreat because daily life feels draining.
- Burnout & Energetic Drain: Feeling depleted, unmotivated, or disconnected from your purpose.
The truth is: Stress doesn’t just live in the mind — it lodges in your breath, your nervous system, your Nadis, and your energy body.
My aim is to bring the retreat to you. These face-to-face Swara Yoga lessons in Eastcote help you master the atmosphere within. You don't need to leave your life to find peace; you need to change the atmosphere around you by mastering the atmosphere within you. By aligning your internal Swara with the cosmic rhythm, you transform your daily environment into a sanctuary.
This Is Where Swara Yoga Changes Everything
This practice is built on the Pranayama - fourth limb of Yoga, expanded through esoteric Vedic science and subtle energy mastery.
In these sessions, you will learn to:
✧ Master Your Breath Cycles
Understand lunar and solar nostril dominance — and use it to influence mood, focus, health, timing, and decision-making.
✧ Purify & Integrate the Nadis
Release energetic blockages that store emotional trauma, stress, and fatigue.
✧ Activate Mudras for Pranic Control
Use sacred hand gestures to guide energy flow, amplify healing, and stabilize your nervous system.
✧ Balance & Heal the Chakras
Restore energetic alignment to support emotional resilience, mental clarity, and spiritual growth.
✧ Build Ojas — Your Vital Life Essence
Strengthen your energetic immunity, radiance, stamina, and long-term vitality.
✧ Shift from “Fight or Flight” to “Rest & Heal” in Minutes
Regulate your nervous system and create inner safety — no matter what’s happening around you.
This is not passive relaxation.
It is energetic self-mastery.
The Result: Your Life Becomes the Retreat
You don’t need to escape your life to feel peace. You need to transform the atmosphere within you.
When your breath aligns with cosmic rhythm:
-
Stress loses its grip
-
Emotional reactivity softens
-
Your mind becomes clearer
-
Your body feels lighter
-
Your decisions become more intuitive
-
Your presence becomes calmer, stronger, and more magnetic
Your daily life becomes your spiritual practice — not something you need to run from.

FAQ's Frequently Asked Questions
Zoom & Recordings
Can I get a recording if I miss a live session?
No, recordings are not available for our online Zoom sessions. These classes are designed to be a live, interactive experience where we can practice and learn together in real-time. We encourage you to join us live each week to get the most out of the community and the teachings.
Do I need to have my camera on during the Zoom call?
While it is not strictly mandatory, we highly recommend keeping your camera on. Seeing each other helps build our community space, and it allows the instructor to offer gentle guidance or adjustments during pranayama practice.
The Teachings
What exactly do we do in these sessions?
Our sessions are a holistic blend of theory and practice. We learn and practice specific pranayama techniques, introducing traditional Vedic breathwork tailored to your unique dosha (constitution). Alongside the breathing practices, we study Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras verse by verse and explore foundational Ayurvedic principles to help you align your daily routines with nature.
Do I need to know my Ayurvedic dosha before joining?
Not at all! Educating you about Ayurveda is part of the journey. We will explore the different doshas together, helping you understand how specific breathwork practices can balance your mind and body based on your personal constitution.
What exactly are we studying in these sessions?
We are diving deep into Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, exploring them sequentially, verse by verse. Each week, we take one sutra and unpack its traditional meaning, philosophy, and practical application to modern life, alongside our pranayama (breathwork) practice.
Do I need to buy a specific book or have prior knowledge?
Not at all. Whether you are completely new to yoga philosophy or have studied it for years, you are welcome. The verses will be presented and explained clearly during the session, so no advance reading is required.
Home Safety & Preparation
How should I prepare my space for an online session?
Find a quiet, comfortable spot in your home where you won't be interrupted. Sit on a comfortable cushion, yoga mat, or even a sturdy chair that allows your spine to be tall and straight.
Are there any safety precautions I should take for pranayama at home?
Yes, your safety and well-being are paramount, even online:
-
Listen to your body: Never force or strain your breath. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or short of breath at any point, stop the practice immediately and return to your normal, natural breathing.
-
Practice on an empty stomach: It is highly recommended to avoid eating a heavy meal for at least two hours before our sessions.
-
Medical conditions: If you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions, please consult your doctor before practicing advanced breath control, and let the instructor know before class begins.
